Livrée neuve en France à un anglais en 2002 par Brands Hatch Morgans, elle a traversé le « Channel » un certain nombre de fois pour y retourner faire ses révisions comme en atteste son carnet d’entretien. Elle n’a connu que trois propriétaires et elle affiche aujourd’hui un peu moins de 32 000 km ! Equipée du Ford Zetec 1800, c’est une Morgan qui allie le charme de l’ancien avec un moteur actuel discret et performant dont la fiabilité est sans faille. Ce bel exemplaire est pourvu de nombreuses options qui sont listées sur la facture d’origine et notamment : caisse étroite avec jantes larges de 6 pouces, rétroviseurs ronds, déflecteurs, poignées de porte avec une serrure, porte bagages, échappement sport inox, tableau de bord bois avec instruments centraux, pendule, radio, lecteur de carte. A l’intérieur, l’ambiance est très chic avec cette superbe sellerie bordeaux à passepoil blanc associée à la planche de bord en bois vernis foncé. Derrière le volant bois on profite d’une instrumentation très complète. L’état n’appelle aucune remarque particulière, il est au niveau de l’extérieur.

Mécaniquement, nous sommes en présence d’une auto fidèle à l’esprit Morgan, des trains roulants légèrement surannés mais qui s’accordent parfaitement à un moteur dont la puissance est suffisante. L’entretien est à jour avec en particulier la distribution qui a été faite en avril dernier. Compte-tenu de son faible kilométrage, l’ensemble de la mécanique fait son office. Le moteur gronde gentiment grâce à son échappement un peu libéré.

It had only three owners and now has just under 32,000 km! Equipped with the Ford Zetec 1800, this is a Morgan that combines the charm of the old with a discreet and efficient modern engine whose reliability is flawless. This car is in perfect condition. It is covered with the famous and sought after "ivory" colour. With its side windows, this 4/4 is equipped with the "standard" soft top with stainless steel hoops, light and foldable. The offset rims and the long-range headlights give it a sporty touch.

Inside, the atmosphere is very chic with the superb burgundy upholstery with white piping combined with the dark varnished wood dashboard. Behind the wooden steering wheel you can find a very complete instrument panel. The condition of the car does not call for any particular remark, it is on a par with the exterior.

Mechanically, we are in the presence of a car that is faithful to the Morgan spirit, with slightly outdated running gear that is perfectly matched to an engine that is sufficiently powerful. The maintenance is up to date, in particular the distribution which was done last April. Considering the low mileage, the whole mechanical system works well. The engine rumbles nicely thanks to its slightly liberated exhaust.
