Classic Car Design vous propose cette très belle DSuper de 1974, c’est le nouveau nom des ID qui est apparu en 1969. Elle a tout de la DS, l’esthétique, le confort, les performances mais propose une boite de vitesses mécanique et une commande de frein plus conventionnelles qui la rends plus accessible à tous. Cette auto n’a connu que deux propriétaires, le premier l’ayant conservé plus de 30 ans. Elle a été en grande partie restaurée par le fils du second. Un dossier de dépenses depuis 2007 pour un montant de près de 17 000€ accompagne la voiture.

A l’extérieur, l’auto est superbe, la peinture a été refaite fin 2019. C’est le vert absinthe qui a été choisi associé au toit blanc. Que dire sinon que tout est en très bon état, carrosserie, accessoires et autres enjoliveurs, tous les joints sont neufs, il n’y a aucune rayure ou bosse. Les soubassements sont globalement très sains, on note quelques petits défauts qui ont été traités.

A l’intérieur, nous sommes sur les dernier modèle de DS, c’est le noir qui domine mais le ciel de toit blanc en bel état et les rappels de couleur de la caisse apporte de la luminosité. L’ensemble des sièges, contre-portes et tapis de sol ont été refaits à neuf. Tout l’équipement fonctionne, y compris la pendule et l’autoradio !

Mécaniquement, c’est le deux litres des DS 20 qui officie sous le capot. Comme pour le reste de l’auto, tout a été revu y compris le système hydraulique. Le moteur tourne parfaitement, la commande de boite est douce et le freinage est évidemment très efficace ! La suspension monte et descend normalement, comme on l’attend d’une DS.

Même si elle est moins sophistiquée que ses sœurs DS 23 injection, cette DSuper permet d’accéder au mythe DS et propose une alternative un peu plus simple. Cet exemplaire a l’avantage d’avoir bénéficié de beaucoup de travaux. Même si elle a peu roulé ces dernières années, elle a été maintenue en bon état de fonctionnement, en atteste les contrôles techniques toujours favorables depuis plus de 30 ans…

Classic Car Design offers you this beautiful 1974 DSuper, the new name of the ID which appeared in 1969. It has everything of the DS, aesthetics, comfort, performance but offers a mechanical gearbox and a more conventional brake control which makes it more accessible to all. This car has only had two owners, the first having kept it for more than 30 years. It has been largely restored by the son of the second owner. The car is accompanied by an expenses record since 2007 for a total of almost 17,000€.

On the outside, the car is superb, the paintwork was redone at the end of 2019. The absinthe green colour was chosen, combined with the white roof. What can I say except that everything is in very good condition, bodywork, accessories and other trims, all joints are new, there is no scratch or dent. The undercarriage is generally very solid, we note some small defects that have been treated.

Inside, we are on the latest DS model, black is the dominant colour but the white roof lining in good condition and the body colour reminders bring luminosity. All the seats, doors and floor mats have been redone. All the equipment works, including the clock and the car radio!

Mechanically, it is the two-litre DS20 engine that is used under the bonnet. As for the rest of the car, everything has been revised, including the hydraulic system. The engine runs perfectly, the gearbox control is smooth and the braking is obviously very efficient! The suspension goes up and down normally, as you would expect from a DS.

Even if it is less sophisticated than its DS 23 injection sisters, this DSuper allows access to the DS myth and offers a slightly simpler alternative. This car has the advantage of having benefited from a lot of work. Even if it has not been driven much in recent years, it has been maintained in good working order, as shown by the technical controls that have always been favourable for over 30 years...
