Classic Car Design vous a proposé ce très rare cabriolet Ford Mustang de 1967. Souvent disponible en V8 289 ou 302 ci, c’est un Big block 390 ci qui se trouve sous le capot de celui-ci ! Cet exemplaire est donc un code S entièrement d’origine mis à part sa couleur extérieure. Il a été acheté en première main au Texas par son actuel propriétaire français. Des documents d’achat d’époque sont présents. Elle est donc sur notre sol et immatriculée en carte-grise collection.
A l’extérieur, l’auto a une belle présentation dans ce bleu foncé qui s’accorde parfaitement à la capote électrique blanche. La peinture a été lustrée et a bénéficié d’un traitement céramique. On remarque les jantes en tôle avec leurs enjoliveurs d’origine, cette auto se veut authentique avant tout, c’est important lorsqu’une auto est rare. Tous les chromes et emblèmes sont présents et en bel état.
A l’intérieur, on trouve une sellerie luxury bi-ton. L’ensemble de l’habitacle est d’origine et dans son jus y compris les moquettes, la casquette de tableau de bord, l’instrumentation et le volant typique de l’année. Seule petite entorse, l’autoradio moderne et le vide poche central.
Mécaniquement, rien ne remplace le couple monstrueux d’un big block. Celui-ci ronronne parfaitement via une ligne d’échappement inox. L’allumage est récent et la pompe à eau est neuve. La boite automatique fonctionne parfaitement. La tenue de route est parfaite : les amortisseurs, les freins et les pneus sont neufs. Pour le confort, la direction et la commande de frein sont assistées.
Avec ce cabriolet, on ne parle pas d’une Mustang small-block standard mais d’un vrai collector. La voiture a été entièrement révisée et est prête à prendre la route dans le souffle puissant du 390.
Classic Car Design offered you this very rare 1967 Ford Mustang convertible. Often available with a 289 or 302 ci V8, it is a 390 ci Big block that is under the bonnet of this one! This car is a fully original code S except for its exterior colour. It was bought first hand in Texas by its current French owner. The purchase documents of the time are present. It is therefore on our soil and registered as a collector's car.
On the outside, the car is beautifully presented in this dark blue that matches perfectly with the white electric soft top. The paintwork has been polished and has received a ceramic treatment. The sheet metal wheels with their original hubcaps are noticeable, this car is authentic above all, which is important when a car is rare. All chrome and emblems are present and in good condition.
Inside, there is a two-tone luxury upholstery. The whole interior is original and in its original condition, including the carpets, the dashboard cap, the instrumentation and the typical steering wheel of the year. The only slight deviation is the modern car radio and the central pocket.
Mechanically, nothing can replace the monstrous torque of a big block. This one purrs perfectly via a stainless steel exhaust system. The ignition is recent and the water pump is new. The automatic gearbox works perfectly. The handling is perfect: shocks, brakes and tyres are new. For comfort, the steering and the brake control are power assisted.
With this convertible, we are not talking about a standard small-block Mustang but a real collector. The car has been completely overhauled and is ready to hit the road with the powerful blast of the 390.
