Classic Car Design vous a proposé cette Porsche 996 Carrera 2 de 1998. Cet exemplaire dispose d’un combo de couleur superbe avec ce noir à l’extérieur et le beige à l’intérieur. La 996 incarne la rupture dans l’histoire de la 911 : nouvelle esthétique extérieure et intérieure et passage au refroidissement à eau... Longtemps boudée principalement à cause de sa ressemblance avec le Boxster, elle prend petit à petit sa place dans le monde des amateurs de Porsche.

A l’extérieur, la carrosserie est en très bel état avec très peu de trace d’usage. Elle est équipée de jantes dans le style GT3.

A l’intérieur, les Porsche sont souvent noires et un peu tristes. Ici la sellerie arbore un original « Savana beige », à la fois lumineux et élégant. L’ensemble est en très bel état, que ce soit la planche de bord, les cuirs ou les moquettes. La climatisation fait partie l’équipement d’origine et on trouve un autoradio Pioneer « station d’accueil smartphone » à la place du blaupunkt Lausanne précédent (disponible).

Mécaniquement, bénéficiant d’un faible kilométrage d’origine, la voiture fonctionne parfaitement. C’est une vraie GT alliant à la fois confort et performance. Les 300 ch sont bien présents. Le flat 6 donne de la voix sans être envahissant. Il est bien secondé par la boite 6 vitesses manuelle. Elle est aussi équipée des intéressantes options autobloquant et contrôle de traction. Les freins ont été remplacés il y a 2000 km.

Voici donc un bel exemplaire de 996. Son carnet est présent et tamponné en bonne partie chez Porsche, il est accompagné de factures sur une douzaine d’année. Une révision sera faite à la vente chez un spécialiste, Il n’y aura donc rien à prévoir sinon rouler sereinement. La côte des 996 monte, il temps de profiter des belles performances de la 996, c’est la porte d’entrée dans le monde de la 911…

The 996 embodies a breakthrough in 911 history: new exterior and interior styling and the switch to water cooling... Long shunned mainly because of its resemblance to the Boxster, it is gradually taking its place in the world of Porsche enthusiasts.

On the outside, the bodywork is in very good condition, with very few signs of use. It is fitted with GT3-style wheels.

Inside, Porsches are often black and a little sad. Here, the upholstery is in an original "Savana beige", both bright and elegant. The dashboard, leathers and carpets are all in excellent condition. Air conditioning is standard equipment, and a Pioneer "smartphone docking station" replaces the previous Lausanne blaupunkt (available).

Mechanically, with low original mileage, the car runs perfectly. It's a true GT, combining comfort and performance. The 300 hp are very much in evidence. The flat 6 gives voice without being intrusive. It's well supported by the 6-speed manual gearbox. It is also equipped with the interesting auto-lock and traction control options. The brakes were replaced 2000 km ago.

This is a fine example of a 996. Its service book is present and stamped for the most part at Porsche, and is accompanied by invoices dating back a dozen years. It will be serviced by a specialist at the time of sale, so there's nothing to worry about other than driving in peace.
